This sapphire moves through several expressions of green. Olive and moss tones appear through the center, while cooler teal-blue reflections gather along the lower edge. Pale yellow-green flashes surface as the stone turns, giving the color more range than a single description can hold.
The custom half moon cut gives the sapphire a distinctive balance of curve and line. A rounded crown creates broad flashes of color, while the straight base brings structure to the silhouette. The result is compact, modern, and naturally suited to an asymmetrical design or a thoughtfully matched pair.
Untreated and sourced from Diego, Madagascar, its layered green color remains entirely natural.
Half moon cuts rely on contrast. The curve softens the outline, while the flat edge gives the stone direction. Here, the faceting was arranged to keep light moving across the full width of the sapphire, revealing green, teal, and yellow reflections without losing the strength of the shape.
One curve. One line. Many shades of green.
