In Natural Light
Some sapphires sparkle. Others seem to glow from within.
This 1.18 carat natural sapphire displays a vibrant blend of orangish pink with a soft opalescent quality that gives the crystal an almost luminous appearance. As the light changes, delicate notes of rose, peach, and lavender emerge across its broad step facets, creating a color that feels both warm and refined.
The classic Asscher cut brings structure to that softness. Its clean lines and concentric facets draw the eye toward the center of the stone, allowing light to gather before returning in quiet flashes. The balance between precise geometry and gentle color gives this sapphire a distinctly timeless character.
The Lapidary’s Eye
Not every sapphire benefits from dramatic brilliance. This crystal called for restraint. Preserving its natural glow while maintaining the symmetry of the Asscher cut allows the color to remain the focal point. Untreated and sourced from Ratnapura, Sri Lanka, it reflects the understated beauty for which the region’s finest sapphires have long been admired.
Some colors are seen. Others are simply felt.
