Bands of cool cornflower blue run through the center of this sapphire, framed by soft yellow and near-colorless zones that appear and disappear with movement. The open step facets give the color a beautifully fluid quality—at some angles distinctly blue and yellow, at others almost icy and transparent. Its elongated proportions and generous 3.48-carat size give the stone an especially elegant face-up presence.

The Lapidary’s Eye

The precision emerald cut was an ideal choice for preserving the crystal’s natural color architecture.
