A beautifully composed parti sapphire from Ratnapura, where cool crystalline blue meets subtle flashes of golden yellow.
The color feels almost suspended within the stone. Clear stretches of sky blue deepen toward richer cobalt at the edges, while touches of warm yellow appear unexpectedly through the corners — a natural contrast made especially striking by the sapphire’s long, open step facets.
Untreated, with a palette shaped entirely by the original Sri Lankan crystal.
The Lapidary’s Eye
The elongated emerald cut gives this sapphire a quiet, architectural elegance. Broad step facets were used to preserve the natural separation of color, creating long reflections that carry the blue across the stone while allowing its yellow parti zones to appear in distinct flashes.
