Bands of cool cornflower blue run through the center of this sapphire, framed by soft yellow and near-colorless zones that appear and disappear with movement. The open step facets give the color a beautifully fluid quality—at some angles distinctly blue and yellow, at others almost icy and transparent. Its elongated proportions and generous 3.48-carat size give the stone an especially elegant face-up presence.

The Lapidary’s Eye

The precision emerald cut was an ideal choice for preserving the crystal’s natural color architecture. Long, disciplined steps draw the eye directly through the blue center while the clipped corners catch flashes of yellow along the perimeter.
